Herpertz shift from diesel to solar

Herpertz

Discover how solar panels provide a sustainable, quieter, and more economical power solution for Herpertz

Meet Henk Smolenaars, Service Coordinator & Purchasing at Herpertz and hear him talk about their solar solution.

Herpertz Kraanverhuur en Transport, a renowned crane rental and transport company, faced a challenge with their ballast containers. These containers, essential for crane operators waiting at construction sites, were powered by diesel generators. These generators were efficient but noisy, environmentally harmful and expensive. The company was therefore looking for a more sustainable, quiet and economical solution.

Sustainable, cost-effective and silent

In their search for a greener alternative, Herpertz chose our solar solution. The solar panels were installed on a small container unit, providing a reliable and environmentally friendly power source. This shift aligned with the company’s sustainability goals and met their need for a quieter and more cost-effective solution.

“Previously, we relied on a diesel generator, which was noisy, expensive, and environmentally unfriendly. Thanks to Green Energy’s solar solution, we have successfully addressed these issues and still have the power we need,” says Henk Smolenaars, Service Coordinator & Purchasing at Herpertz.

More than just a success

For Herpertz, success was defined by the solar panels’ ability to charge the container unit’s batteries effectively. However, since the installation of our solar solution, Herpertz has witnessed several notable benefits:

  • Increased ROI: The reduction in fuel costs and maintenance associated with diesel generators has resulted in significant savings.
  • Reduced CO2 emissions: By switching to solar energy, the company has significantly reduced its carbon footprint, contributing to a greener environment.
  • Improved working environment: The elimination of noisy diesel generators has resulted in a quieter and more comfortable working environment for crane operators.

Explore more of the benefits of CIGS Solar Panels

The CIGS solar panel is often recognised on its slim profile, its flexibility and its low weight. CIGS solar panels are better than conventional solar panels in almost every aspect, when it comes to sustainability efforts and especially durability.
