Enger Transport implements solar panel solution for fuel savings, CO2 reduction, and increased driver comfort
Enger Transport in Norway is not only a leader in container transportation but also a leader in sustainable transport. With a strong commitment to the green transition, Enger Transport is dedicated to reducing their carbon footprint. They invest in eco-friendly vehicles, utilize alternative fuels, and provide extensive training for their drivers in eco-friendly driving practices.
Recently, Enger Transport has taken a significant step towards their sustainability goals by installing solar panels on their vehicles. These solar panels, combined with an advanced charge controller with IoT system, enable drivers to track driving consumption via an app and optimise for more sustainable driving.
Together with Mondher Hajoo from TTI VDL, we visited Enger Transport’s headquarters in Enebakk, Norway, to see their solar-equipped truck. During our visit, we spoke with one of Enger Transport’s experienced drivers, who shared his enthusiasm for how the solar panel solution has improved his workday by reducing idle time and enhancing comfort.
