DAF Trucks Delivers an Additional 10 Trucks to Samat International AB – focus on quality, sustainability and partnership

Samat International

In January 2025, DAF Trucks delivered another 10 DAF XG480 4×2 trucks to Samat International AB, reinforcing the long-standing collaboration between the parties. The delivery results from a close partnership between DAF Trucks Sweden, Samat International AB, STS Helsingborg, Scanvo Lastbil AB, and Green Energy Group.

Samat International AB prioritizes safety and comfort in its fleet

Samat International AB continuously strives to offer its customers the highest standards of quality and safety. The company takes initiatives and makes decisions with the primary goal of ensuring the health and safety of its employees while also protecting the environment.

In line with this commitment, Samat International AB has decided to invest in an additional 10 trucks, reflecting its ambition to combine efficiency with state-of-the-art technology. “These trucks were selected for their low fuel consumption, the spacious XG cab, and advanced safety features, including rear-view cameras. We’ve also received a lot of positive feedback from our drivers regarding the comfort of the cab, and several have expressed a desire to drive a DAF truck,” says Jon Nilsson, Technical Manager at Samat International AB.

Collaboration driving sustainability

A key element of the deal is the solar panels from Green Energy, which have been installed on the trucks. These panels reduce fuel consumption and contribute to a significant reduction in CO2 emissions. “We are thrilled to see our Green Energy solar panels on these new DAF Trucks for Samat, one of our valued customers. Samat chose our innovative solution – that reduces CO2 emissions and cuts fuel costs – to help them deliver on their sustainability ambitions across their fleet,”says Martin Thaysen, CEO of Green Energy Group.

In 2024, thanks to their collaboration with Green Energy Group, Samat International AB significantly reduced their CO2 emissions by a total of 92.9 tons across their fleet.

Partnerships that enabled the deal

This deal would not have been possible without contributions from all partners. Through a shared commitment from DAF Trucks Sweden, Samat International AB, STS Helsingborg, Green Energy Group, and Scanvo Lastbil AB, this delivery has become a clear example of how strong partnerships can lead to sustainable and efficient transport solutions. “This is a brilliant example of good partnership, and we at Scanvo are delighted that more and more people are discovering DAF as their top choice,” says Allan Andersen, CEO of Scanvo Lastbil AB.

STS Helsingborg, the home workshop for Samat International AB, prepared the vehicles for delivery and will continue to be an essential service partner to ensure the fleet’s ongoing operations. “It’s an honor to be part of this successful collaboration,” says Jim Malmqvist, Workshop Manager at STS Helsingborg. “We look forward to continuing to deliver high-quality service to Samat International AB and their fleet. With our new state-of-the-art DAF workshop, which will be completed this year, we’ll be able to offer even better solutions and further strengthen our partnership.”
