Flix drives sustainable change in long-distance bus travel

Flix

As part of our ongoing commitment to reducing carbon emissions in the mobility sector, we are collaborating with global travel-tech company Flix and non-profit organisation atmosfair to further validate the benefits of our solar panel solution for long-distance buses.

Solar-powered bus travel

Flix has already tested our innovative solar technology on buses in Europe and the US to enable fuel savings and associated emissions reductions for its bus partners. Now, supported by atmosfair, Flix is making it possible for its partners to take part in the next phase – to adopt Green Energy’s solar panels and contribute to a larger data collection initiative to monitor the effectiveness of our solar panels.

To support this initiative, a number of subsidies for Flix bus partners are available through the Future of Mobility Fund, a program established by Flix and atmosfair that is financed by voluntary donations from Flix passengers. Over the years, these donations have enabled the implementation of our solar panel solution as well as other initiatives aimed at enhancing sustainable travel in the local communities where Flix operates.

If you’re a Flix bus partner, this is your chance to explore an innovative mobility solution that can help you reduce costs and the associated emissions, thus contributing to a more fuel efficient environment.. Visit our website to see how other bus and coach customers have benefited from our solar panels.

Explore more of the benefits of CIGS Solar Panels

The CIGS solar panel is often recognised on its slim profile, its flexibility and its low weight. CIGS solar panels are better than conventional solar panels in almost every aspect, when it comes to sustainability efforts and especially durability.
