This recognition was given during the Construction Climate Awards, presented by Danish Construction Centres at the BYGGERI trade fair and presented by the chairman of the Danish Construction Association, Kirsten Nielsen. The Energy Award is one of four categories that honour the best innovations that help reduce CO2 emissions and environmental impact in the construction industry.
Award winning practical innovation

Our collaboration with Areco Profiles has been instrumental in developing a solution that unites Areco’s Easy-Click steel profiles with Green Energy Group’s CIGS solar panels.

Solarpanels for steel roofs without compromise
Our close collaboration with Areco Profiles has been crucial in the development of an innovative solar solution that combines Areco’s Easy-Click steel profiles with Green Energy’s CIGS solar panels. This combination ensures a seamless and aesthetic integration of solar energy into roofs, making the solution suitable for both modern and classic architecture. The Easy-Click steel profiles have wide grooves and hidden fasteners, creating a clean and elegant look without visible fittings. Our CIGS solar cells are only 3 mm, lightweight (2.2 kg/m²) and require no additional structural support, making them easy to install and handle. The glass-free panels eliminate the risk of micro cracks and fire hazards while ensuring maximum sunlight absorption – even in partial shade. Flexible mounting options make it possible to adapt the solution to different roof types, and with a 25-year performance guarantee, you can be sure of a reliable and long-lasting solution. Our solar solution is ideal for both commercial and residential projects, whether new build or renovation, and can be installed by any tradesman without specialised tools.
EPD certification strengthens sustainability
In addition to the Danish Energy Award 2025, Green Energy Group has obtained Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) certification for our solar panels.
